Hello everyone,
Well it’s been another very busy week at FMPS lots to talk about!
Y6 Bread Making
Megan from Chartwells came to help teach Y6 how to make bread. They kneaded the dough and then shaped it forming plaits, flowers and the letters of their names. Thank you to Megan for all her help.

Y5 Science Workshop
On Wednesday Year 5 enjoyed taking part in their science workshop with a forensic scientist. We were given clues and culprits and had to investigate (using evidence) who committed the crime!

Math Café
The Red and Green Class were really lucky to have the chance to have to experience a maths café with parents. Everyone had the chance to play lots of problem-solving games and it was excellent to see pupils with their parents
Y6 Forensic Science
As part of science week, we were tasked to solve a crime using forensic science. A safe had been robbed and the children had to analyse DNA and fingerprints to solve the crime after whittling down a list of suspects. Fortunately, Year 6 solved the crime and the culprit was locked up!

Bridge Making Y5!
This half term in Y5 we are making bridges. Today we investigated truss bridges and worked as a team to make our own using straw and tape. We have experimented on how to ensure our bridge is strong and sturdy and will test them with weights next week.

Forest School Fun
Reception look forward to Forest Fridays every week, where we have a focused activity to participate in. This week, Ladybirds were building their funky fingers by creating leaf silhouettes using squirt paint bottles. They loved hunting for leaves of different shapes and sizes before gluing them down and getting to work! We then had time to learn through play in the Forest.
Once back inside, we warmed up with hot chocolate and flicked through the photographs which Miss Mallen had captured throughout our session, discussing which part of the session we enjoyed the most.
Cross County Reginal finals
We had a great morning with Y3 and Y4 girls and boys competing in the regional finals for cross county. Well done to our reginal finalists you were all a credit to our school!
Comic Relief
On Friday we helped raise money for comic relief thank you for all your donation.
