Hello everyone

We made it!

On Thursday, Year 2 attended the Come Dance Festival organised by the School’s Sports Partnership.

Today KS1 and KS2 took part in a team building day with their classes. A fantastic day organised by Darren from SSP with help from some of our Y6 sports leaders!  We had a go at various different games which involved lots of team work and communication. The Year 6 pupils were fantastic helpers and had really clear instructions so we understood what to do. Well done everyone!

Hi everyone

It’s been another fantastic week, with Y2 pupils completing their SATs and as with Year 6 last week, I am also very proud of our Y2 children.

On Monday, Year 5 & 6 pupils had a fantastic workshop session with the Chartwell’s Chefs. They talked about food groups and the importance of eating a balanced diet, were shown how to make pasta from scratch and then turned their hands to tortellini and ravioli.

On Thursday, Chris from the School’s Sports Partnership came into school for an Endzone competition with Year 3 & 4 pupils and Y2 pupils attended a Striking and Fielding Festival at Framwellgate School.

Please revisit the page next week to view our PE gallery https://wp.me/P6NnzV-2tr

Welcome back, I hope you’ve all enjoyed the Easter break!

On Monday Year 4 successfully completed their Bikeablity training on how to ride their bikes safely.

Our whole school Maths Day Challenge was lots of fun and the children enjoyed solving problems in teams.

On Thursday Year 3, attended the Tennis festival at Framwellgate School Durham and enjoyed the varying activities.

We have now recorded Just One World sung by the children in FMPS in many different languages.  It is a privilege to have so many linguists in our ‘Framily!’ It will be available on the website at the end of next week.

North East Festival of Languages 2023

Children from Year 6 entered this poster competition with a theme of ‘Where can languages take you?’ There were over 800 entries of a very high standard. All children who participated received a highly commended certificate. The judges were very impressed with Mia and TJ, who received runners up prizes. Well done everyone who entered!

Photographer is in school on Wednesday to take class photos, pupils in the older years may wish to bring in the instruments they learn in school.

Well it has been a busy and fun filled week!

This week it was year 5’s turn to complete their Bikeability training to learn how to ride their bikes safely in the community.  The final session will be for Year 4 on Monday 17th April.

On Wednesday the Year 1 & 2 pupils attended a Biscuit Baking workshop in school by Chartwells. They had fun making their own energy bar and learning about how to keep healthy.

The School’s Sports Partnership came into school on Wednesday to work with KS1 and KS2 pupils for the Intra School Sports Day.  KS1 took part in a Throwing Carousel session and KS2 played Dodgeball activities.

On Thursday a group of year 4, 5 & 6 pupils performed at the Gala Theatre.  The ‘Fram Shiny Dancers’ worked really hard in the rehearsals each week this term and the performance was a huge success, well done to you all. I was really proud of them.

Today, a huge effort has gone in to egg decorating, we have all had so much fun and there were some super decorated and imaginative eggs! One of our school Governors, Mr Dawson, kindly came into school to do the judging and prizes were awarded.

Hello everyone

It hasn’t been a great week with the weather conditions but we still managed for some of our planned events to go ahead!

On Tuesday Reception pupils attended the Sports Festival at Maiden Castle organised by the School’s Sports Partnership, the theme was ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and all of the children had a really fun time.

On Thursday morning Year 1 attended Invasion Games at New College also organised by the School’s Sports Partnership, they all had a great time.  Unfortunately, the Year 2 session in the afternoon could not go ahead due to the school closing early, hopefully this will be rearranged shortly.

We will upload some photographs from both events early next week, in the meantime here are some snowy fun photographs.

Many thanks to you all for your support this week, much appreciated, hopefully Spring is on it’s way!
