Dear Families
Thank you for the kind words that I received after sending last weeks staff slideshow. The staff at Framwellgate Moor Primary School would now like to present an Easter quiz for you all to enjoy! All of the staff have enjoyed designing this and it has created some very funny moments! We hope you have fun solving it! The school will be closed during the Easter break, but I am contactable by email at anytime if there are any questions or support is required. Kind Regards, Mrs B Smith
A message from all of us here at Framwellgate Moor Primary School…..
Dear Girls and Boys of Framwellgate Moor Primary School,
These are strange days for a lot of us and we know that some of you will be feeling worried about what is happening at the moment.
School closed tonight for a little while and this is a really important part of defeating the Coronavirus, so thank you so much for your help with that. Staying away from school is difficult, and to start with will feel new and fun, but as time goes on you may start to feel a bit bored and restless and want to come back. I promise that once we get information that we can re-open we will do so.
Please try your best with your school work packs and online jobs, your Parents will help you, but many of them are not teachers and you will need to help them out a bit – try not to get upset with them – they will be doing their best to help you – Be Kind!
You can contact us on your dBprimary account if you need to, and remember to also do nice things like reading, playing games, baking … it doesn’t always have to be schoolwork.
Please try not to worry, we are all going to look after each other and will see each other soon, in the meantime anything you can send us to show us what you are getting up to would be brilliant to see – you can upload videos and photos into the ‘My Work’ section of dBprimary if you’d like to!
We miss you already but remember to do your best and make us proud!
We will see you as soon as we can,
Mrs Smith and all of the School Staff
In light of the most recent Government pronouncements on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), it has been decided that schools in England will close on Friday afternoon at the end of the school day, to the majority of its students, until further notice.
However, in line with all other schools throughout the country, we will be exploring how to follow and support other regulations identified this evening including children of ‘key workers.’ Further details about the definition of a “key worker” and what this will entail is being sent to schools from the Department for Education today and will be disseminated to parents as soon as possible.
During this period of closure, all children will continue to learn using the work packs and online resources given by their class teacher. If your child is currently not attending school, please make sure that you have a pack and the online information by visiting the Main Entrance this week before we close.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Mrs B Smith
I am writing to update you about the school’s current position regarding Coronavirus, following the latest information from the Government.
We take the health and safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff very seriously, and, as such, we want to reassure you that we are following the guidance from Public Health England and the Department for Education (DfE).

To minimise the spread of any infection in school we appreciate your support with the following decisions that have been made:
In instances where someone in the family shows symptoms of Corona Covid-19 the whole family should self-isolate for 14 days.
Symptoms:
If circumstances arise where the school must close, we will inform you by letter, email and/ or the app. Again, please ensure that we have your contact details and please do download the Parent App.
We are currently making plans for supporting your child’s education should a closure become necessary and will keep you informed on this.
Prevent the spread of infection
As mentioned, we are following the guidance from Public Health England and the DfE, but this advice is now changing daily. We are doing our very best to be pro-active and make well-planned, responsible decisions.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely
Mrs B Smith
