After a long journey to Chania we arrived on Sunday evening and the children had well deserved sleep in our lovely hotel.
On Monday morning we enjoyed a warm welcome filled with traditional greek music and dancing at Mavromatakis school. This was followed by master classes around the school called ‘repurposing old t-shirts’,’ creating music from disposable objects’ and ‘balancing what the sea rinsed out’. The children then presented the objects they had produced in these sessions to the rest of the group. Following this we enjoyed a traditional Greek lunch and had the opportunity to socialise with others from the Erasmus project.
In the late afternoon the group were given a guided tour of the Chania old town, which included great photo opportunities and stunning scenery.
We are all looking forward to what tomorrow brings!
