It’s been a busy one, but the children have had so much fun this week!
On Monday Year 3 & 4 had a fantastic time exploring the coastline at Seaham. We carried out fieldwork to find out more about the physical processes that shape the beach, how effectively erosion is being managed and how the environmental quality of the beach changes. After all of our hard work, we enjoyed a trip to Lickety Split and had great fun stone skimming. Some of us even decided to build rock armour to help defend the beach!

This term, Year 3 & 4 also designed and created our very own Roman Helmets (‘Galea’). The children thoroughly enjoyed the process and took great care to measure, mark out and cut all the elements they needed before putting it all together. We also had great fun wearing them and pretending we were soldiers. We soon realised that marching at the same time and staying in formation was very difficult to do!

On Wednesday all of the children had a lot of fun at their end of term school disco, they enjoyed the games, prizes, sweets and the very loud music!
