Hello everyone
We are counting down the weeks now and we have lots of activities to look forward to before the end of term!
On Monday, ‘Flat Stan’ First Aid came into school to do some workshops with years 3, 4, 5 & 6 pupils. The children learnt what to do if they ever came across a casualty. The class were also told how to deal with bleeding and burns. All pupils were presented with a ‘Well done’ certificate for completing the course.

On Thursday, Year 5 pupils participated in the Durham Cathedral Music Outreach programme. They had several practise session in school led by a singing professional leading up to the event.
We weren’t allowed to take photographs inside the Cathedral, but managed to get a group photograph outside. We hope to share some photographs with you taken by a professional photographer once we have them.

Reminder – On Thursday 29th June we hope to hold our annual school Sports Day. It will take place on the Main field at 1:15pm. Parents are not allowed onto the field until after I:00pm as we need the children to finish their break-time first. Please can the children come to school in sports clothes and wear a t-shirt that represents the colour House that they are in. This is Red, Yellow, Green or Blue. If you are unsure please ask the teacher at the door beforehand. A bottle of water and sun cream and a hat if it is sunny. In the morning pupils also take part in lots of sporting activities. In the event of rain, Sports Day will be postponed. If the Sports Day is postponed, it will be held on Thursday 6th July at the same time.
Best wishes
Mrs Smith
