The Royal British Foreign Legion have confirmed £609 was raised by FMPS for the Poppy Appeal, that’s a fantastic amount, well done everyone.
Our total for Children in Need last week was £546, again this is a really fantastic amount. In both cases we have exceeded last year’s fundraising for these amazing charities and it is all down to your kind generosity, thank you once again!
On Tuesday, Year 6 had the opportunity to visit New College Durham to take part in a construction workshop. The children learnt about the water cycle and how Esh Construction company are helping to tackle global warming. They also watched a demonstration on how water is filtered before exploring construction careers and going on a tour of the construction area of the college. Pupils from Grasshoppers have visited Trinity Special School today for a sports festival. A great time was had by all!
Reminders for next week:
- Next week is the last week for afterschool clubs. We will send out our new schedule when we return after the Christmas holidays.
- On Monday Year 5 (and a few Y6 pupils) have their Bikeability, if you have signed your child up for it, they will need to bring in a bicycle and helmet that is safe and roadworthy.
- Separation anxiety workshop on Monday 27th November at 9am in the Upper Hall. Please arrive at the Main Entrance.
