Here’s a little bit of what we’ve been up to this week.
On Monday and Tuesday year’s 5 & 6 went on their visits to Jarrow Hall. What a fantastic day we had learning about Anglo Saxons. In the morning the children looked at Anglo Saxon farming and explored an Anglo Saxon village. In the afternoon they got to try on battle helmets and hold weapons before engaging in a battle of their own

On Tuesday 3rd October PCSO’s Kirsty and Steve visited school to lead an assembly. They explained to the children what a ‘Day in the Life’ of a PCSO was like and discussed the types of duties they carry out.

On Thursday Year 4 children attended the Gymnastics Festival and had a lot of fun!

Reminders for next week:
- Monday – Penguins class visit to St Aiden’s Church
- Wednesday – Harvest Festival (donations can be brought in on Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11th)
- Friday – Book Festival day, pupils are invited to dress up as characters from their favourite book and bring in a piece of text to show their teacher. This can be a book/magazine/letter etc.
