Activities
Adam Bushnell 05.02.2020
Koala class have been learning about the history of Durham city with Adam Bushnell. We looked at different images of the market place and discussed what we could see in each photograph. We also really enjoyed listening to the story of Lord Londonderry and Raphael Monti who created the statue. Adam also shared a video of what the streets of the city would have looked like in the past. We then recorded what we thought we would have bee able to see, hear, feel, smell and taste as we walked through the market place.
Food Tasting
Our Koala class thoroughly enjoyed our tasting lesson as part of the 5 senses work in Science. The children wore blindfolds and had to guess what 6 different foods were! We tasted apples, custard, crisps, bread, yoghurt and cheese. I wonder if you would have guessed correctly?!
