I have recently retired from Durham County Council, where I was employed for 24 years.

I was originally a Community Development Officer, then a Staff Development Officer, and finally a Manager in Learning Disability and Mental Health provider services.

Prior to joining the County Council I had been a Radiographer, run a large youth training scheme and worked as a Hospital Social Worker.

I have also been C.E.O. of a local charity for disabled children.

I am now a volunteer with Durham Business Partnership as a Business Ambassador helping to  run courses in schools across the County.
