D.T

Today in D.T we have continued our work on structures. We have explored all of the safety procedures needed when working with wood and tools. Then we had a go at marking, measuring, using bench hooks and saws to cut our wood at 10cm intervals. We were extremely sensible and careful when using the tools and wood and are looking forward to sticking the wooden together and creating a wooden truss bridge.

Bridge Making!

This half term we are making bridges. Today we investigated truss bridges and worked as a team to make our own using straw and tape. We have experimented on how to ensure our bridge is strong and sturdy and will test them with weights next week.
