I have worked for the Local Authority supporting schools for 42 years when I retired in August 2018.
I was Head of School & Governor Support. I developed a clerking and training service level agreement for schools and academies. Whilst the team supported the vast majority of schools in County Durham we also increasingly provided support to schools and academies across the region.
I was invited to join an Interim Executive Board of a Primary School given the LA concerns around leadership and managements as well as the quality of education. I was Vice Chair & supported the school for 2 years and left once the new Governing Body was appointed and underway.
As an independent consultant I still work in the field of education leadership & management supporting schools and academies across the North east.
I am keenly interested in the educational and other opportunities for children in schools and by being a Governor I get to support improvements in both.
I have four grandsons the youngest of which attends Framwellgate Moor Primary School.
