Beowulf on trial
writing technique
Today turtles class took the 'Show, Don't tell' writing technique to the next level by acting out the emotions that Beowulf and his men would be feeling. Children embodied feelings such as anger, relief, joy and sadness through movement and expression, helping them to understand how to convey emotions more vividly.

Computing
Year 5 have had a fantastic week! In Computing, we recapped how to stay safe online and created our own Password Tumblers to generate unique passwords. In D.T, we tasted some different bolognese sauces and discussed their texture, taste and packaging. This will help us decide which sauce we want when we make our own spaghetti bolognese later in the half term. 'Find your match' was a game we played in French this week to help us recap conversational phrases. We went around the room to ask 'Comment tu t'appelles?' to find our matching character. Once we found them, we had a small conversation to practise our turn-taking. It's been a busy but fun-filled first full week of Year 5!
