Shiny Reader
On Friday 24th October, Jacob was our Shiny Reader. He presented The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet. Jacob explained how this book is his favourite to read at home and that he shares it with his dad. He particularly enjoys this story because of ‘all the rockets’. Well done Jacob!
Ayda time to shine
Ayda shared her book 'Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star' about Little Star who plays hide and seek with Little Bear. Ayda really likes the surprise ending with the new baby. Thanks for sharing,Ayda!
Tobias' time to shine
It was Tobias' time to shine in Ladybird class on Friday 17th October. He presented 'The Dinosaur Next Door'. Tobias could name the main character and give a brief overview of the story before we shared it as a class. Well done Tobias, what confident speaking!

Beatrix's Time to Shine
Autumn
Reception have been focusing on seasonal changes this week. To kickstart the topic, we went on a autumn hunt to find natural resources outside. We worked in pairs to fill a paper bag full of goodies before heading back to class and sharing our finds. The children showed brilliant concentration and teamwork skills throughout!
Honeybees Shiny Reader
Mason shared 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' with us today. Everyone enjoyed hearing how the tiger ate all the food and drank all the water in the house! Mason said he thinks the tiger is very funny!
time to shine
It was Krithik’s time to shine in Ladybird class on Friday 3rd October. He presented ‘Fancy Dress Farmyard’. Krithik explained that he thoroughly enjoys this book because all of the farmyard characters dress up; his favourite costume is the pirate costume. Krithik explained that he reads the story with his entire family. A very well done!

In our Design and Technology lesson we made houses from recyclable materials. After reading The Three Little Pigs story we tested which houses were the strongest when the wolf tried to blow them down!
Glauk's time to shine
It was Glauk's time to shine in Ladybird class on Friday 19th September. He presented 'Monkey Puzzle'. Glauk explained that the child monkey had lost his mam but, in the end, he was safely found. What a brilliant act of bravery! Well done Glauk, you presented beautifully.
