Shan-E-Zahra’s Time to Shine
This week Shan-E-Zahra told us all about Ramadan with the help of an interesting poster she had made herself at home. Finley helped by holding up the poster and Shan-E-Zahra explained exactly what happens during this time.

Nikunj’s Time to Shine
This week, Nikunj told us all about his little sister’s naming ceremony, traditionally known as Namakarana, that took place when he visited India recently. It was wonderful to learn more about his Hindu beliefs and customs. We hope your sister enjoyed her special day, Nikunj!

Diwali
Year 6 enjoyed learning about Diwali. It was lovely to hear how some of our class mates celebrated with families at the weekend. We even had a try at making Rangoli patterns.

Year 2 RE
To finish off our R.E topic on Christianity and the Easter Story, we made our own Easter Gardens and talked about what each part symbolised.
Year 3 Visit to All Saints Church
Year 3 (Tigers and Pandas) went on a trip to All Saints Church, in Newton Hall to learn about the features of a Christian Church and to find out more about Holy Communion. We had a great afternoon at the Church and used our RE skills from school to locate all the features in a ‘hunt’ activity. We also learnt lots more information to bring back to school for our next RE lessons.
